History
Established in 1941
The fort cobb locker plant opened its doors for
Business on January 15, 1941. The plant was first
opened as Fort Cobb Electric Refrigeration
Cooperative plant as a cold locker storage. A total
of 308 lockers were constructed for the purpose of
storing meat and vegetables. The Fort Cobb Locker
plant was the first such cold storage locker unit in
the state of Oklahoma and the second in the nation.
Freddie and Juanita Reinking purchased it in
1960. Bob and Colleen Dyer purchased it from her
Parents in 1972.
Since that time the Dyers have operated the business continuously.
It has truly been a family operated business for over sixty
years. Bob, Colleen, their son Mark, and daughter
Lisa have all worked for years serving Fort Cobb and
the surrounding area. Numerous family members
including all five of their grandchildren, in-laws,
nieces, and nephews have also spent time working at the plant.
